I have now worked with individuals that have been through varying levels of trauma, including ritual abuse, and I have seen the power of God set people free.
It starts with a willing heart; an individual who wants to be free.
You see freedom is not actually free.
It cost Jesus his life through his death on the cross. It costs individuals their time and energy. Are they willing to do the truth-telling; expose the trauma, expose the lies, and face the pain? When the light of God shines on an area of hurt, that is when the true healing can begin.
Its like delicate surgery.
But the Holy Spirit is the chief surgeon. As we pray and ask Him to guide us through our time of prayer, He highlights what needs to be revealed and cleansed, gently and without shame.
It was for freedom that Christ has set us free. We need to go after freedom in our lives with everything we have. It is only then that we can fulfill the dream God placed in us from before we were born.
